Not very empathetic, pleasant or encouraging. Did not help with my initial visit to get help with my frustration and depression. Would not recommend or give advice on any particular drug to help me. Asked me to ask my counselor what they thought I should take. Then finally prescribed something I took two years earlier, asking if that’s what I wanted to take then she would write out script.

I have a lump on my neck- I’m very worried about it- saw her the week before and she mentioned I needed a physical so I scheduled a week later. Literally all that was done was a Pap smear no other exam was done during the physical- I’m wondering if more should have been checked? Also my blood work showed a level of prediabetes - maybe a diet or exercise routine should have been recommended?

Dr Chintam was attentive to my concerns and didn't just brush them aside. She listened, gave recommendations, and helped with next steps. All while not feeling rushed. Definitely enjoyed my first visit with her.

This was my first visit because my doc was not available. I had a somewhat urgent need 1) swelling in my back leg that had me wondering if it was a blood clot, 2) tied with my recent high blood pressure, and 3) having recently had Covid. The doc didn’t ask what brought me in today but had seen my message in MyChart and started talking about the blood pressure but didn’t apparently read about my leg. So she said let’s put you on medication for blood pressure but I had to remind her why else I was there. She looked briefly at my leg and didn’t think it was a blood clot. When I asked what she thought it might be, she said a spider bite (I don’t think it’s a spider bite).I was concerned that Covid could have brought on high blood pressure and the possible blood clot. The doctor never listened to me breathe, listen to my heart, she didn’t retest my blood pressure. She seemed to think the three issues were coincidental, but not tied to each other. The medication may be needed but I would prefer try and lower it on my own first. It didn’t seem that she made the attempt to think about my overall care until I had to remind her why I was there. So while she was kind and friendly, and seemed knowledgeable, I questioned her judgement with not connecting the dots and possibly seeing the connection to Covid. I would have liked to have had more assurance about my leg swelling up, but I didn’t demand or ask for an ultrasound.
