She took her time to listen to my daughter and to do a thorough exam. I was quite impressed. She also asked what school my daughter went to and coordinated her aftercare with the assigned doctor. I liked this because her school trainer Flo is able to communicate with the doctor if necessary. The goal is to get her back into volleyball as soon as the inflammation goes down.

I have had gel shots at a different practice before and found them to be very painful. Joyce administered the gel shot and it was not painful! Uncomfortable, yes but not painful. I was so relieved. I have two more to go and my anxiety level will be much lower now. Also, I tend to get lightheaded from the stress and pain. Joyce stayed with me until she was sure I could walk out on my own.

She was very knowledgeable. I wanted treatment but she explained that messing with an intact bursa could create bigger problems. She convinced me to be patient and told me some things heal on their own. I'll wait.
