Dr. Scarpelli performed a thorough questionnaire of my symptoms and then performed neurological tests and addressed a mild hand tremor I've hand for a while, ruling out PD concerns. In addition to her obvious general, well-established knowledge, she also effectively communicated the known—and just as importantly limits— of our current medical knowledge regarding long COVID. I greatly appreciated her time in communicating clearly the boundary of our knowledge and the aims of the medical community to bridge our knowledge gap. To this end, she also offered the opportunity to help in a long-COVID study, which I was happy to partake. Lastly, she is also a warm and caring physician. For these reason, I give Dr. Scarpelli the highest rating.

Jessica took her time asking questions and waiting for my responses to each. I never felt rushed or like she wasn’t listening or engaged in our conversation. She was clear about tests and recommendations and next steps for treatment and captured all in documentation so I wouldn’t forget.

Jessica is an amazing clinician! She took lots of time to listen to my concerns and answered all of my many questions. She treated my “whole person”, including my experience of living with Long Covid - not just my symptoms. She is knowledgeable, kind & compassionate. I never felt rushed. I felt so much better about my chance of recovery after my visit.

As said above, Jessica was very knowledgeable, educational, was kind, and seemed passionate about attacking long Covid. I felt she was in the trenches fighting the good fight against long Covid, but in a kind and professional matter. I’m in the NIH Recover program and have done a lot of research, so we had a very intelligent discussion with no sugar coating, which I asked for.
