I would recommend Dr Jennifer Harkey because shes a great physcartrist and she spends good time with her patients

Dr. Harkey has a wonderful bedside manner and is very easy to talk to. She really cares about her patients and is and has been extremely responsive towards my care.Dr. Harkey is an excellent listener and an excellent provider. She has a very calm mellow presence which is awesome if you have an anxious/nervous feeling about Dr. Apts! It definitely makes a difference in a persons life having great care provided for my mental health and wellness needs. Having a team that is so easy to work with and really cares is everything. I have seen many providers and I can tell you that this level of care is very hard to find in this field. I appreciate Dr. Harkeys holistic approach towards medicine. She asks all the ‘right’ questions and listens to all my concerns and questions by the time I’m done with my appointment. I have found her to be very efficient. I always feel much better after like a huge weight has been lifted off of me when we are done talking. Would highly recommend.

The psychiatrist took such a thorough, efficient history, touching on things even I forgot were important. I felt seen and listened to. I felt comfortable.

Dr Harkey is Professional, thorough and also caring. Effective treatments. My appointment Calls are always on time! I like and need the appt reminders via text. I like doing health checks via phone call. I like that someone calls me within a few days to remind me of and also schedule the next appointment! All this makes my life more manageable-thank you!

My interaction with her was very disappointing. Her affect was cold and distant, making it hard to feel comfortable discussing mental health issues. Little to no eye contact and no attempt build rapport.

She was not welcoming at all, slightly on the rude side. I asked her if I could sign a release of information so she could discuss with my therapist and her response was “I don’t use outside information.” Which is horrible as a doctor to say. If she doesn’t want to use outside information that’s fine. But she could have acted more like a therapist and tried to learn more about my situation but she didn’t. I will be looking for a new psychiatrist.
