He’s seems very informed and keeps up with new studies, but is not great at communicating. I often leave my appointments feeling a little confused about what’s next.

He listens. He seems caring. He wants the patient to have the best quality of life as possible and to experience as little pain as possible. He schedules test regularly to note progress. Has nurses and a team that’s very responsive. You can’t ask for much more then that.

He is extremely competent and knowledgeable in his area of medical practice. He has the ability to relate to his patients exactly what the health issues are and how the treatments will address those issues. And he cares, truly cares about his patients as human beings needing care and compassion!

Only complaint is both good and bad. Dr S spends the time needed with his patients- which he should, he’s an oncologist and cancer patients’ needs are greater than a normal patient. Therefore he is always late to his appointments - the answer isn’t that he spends less time with us, it’s that appointment times should be longer.

He is a very caring and compassionate doctor. When he saw the trouble I was having he and Lisa Ha jumped in to relief my pain. I am very lucky to have both of them.
