Excellent bedside manners. Genuinely cares about my outcome.

James has been my care partner in this effort. He is not only knowledgeable in CPAP but always is supportive in my efforts to do CPAP. After a little over a year we are finally reaching a solution. Greatly appreciate his efforts

I really liked James. I often feel marginalized in healthcare settings, and I was so apprehensive going into this appointment. I never have any way of telling if a provider is going to listen to me, turn me away, or just act unbelievably weird, so the amount of care he projected was really reassuring. He had clearly looked over my information before the appointment; he pronounced my name correctly and didn't make me relate any extraneous information about my body. (I have an IUD and someone recently asked me 'were you born with a uterus?' no doctor, I'm just holding onto this one for a friend. yes of course I was, that's where they put the IUD, it's right in the name!) Instead, he asked me tons of clarifying questions about my symptoms, like he trusted that I knew what was normal for me and what wasn't.I had to mention a time when an endocrinologist tried to send me to impatient psych when I had a referral for fatigue without psych symptoms, and he didn't say 'Oh my god I can't believe that happened to you; it would never happen here' which is what providers usually do when I have to relate an experience like that. He seemed to understand that sometimes doctors behave really unprofessionally around people like me, and instead of telling me that he would treat me with respect, he just did it.It feels huge that I'm starting this process with someone who did not do or say anything weird in our first appointment.

Dr. Lane was very thorough and made all of the information easy to understand, which I feel is essential when speaking with patients.

James was easy to converse with via phone for a first appointment. He conducted a detailed health assessment but was conversational. He inquired about my questions/concerns throughout the appointment and ensured my needs where met by the end of the consult.
