Dr. Lyon did an extraordinary job performing a complex surgery involving multiple procedures that were needed to address what has been a daunting loss of sight that would have continued. Despite the extensive nature of the operation, and in contrast to what is typically reported in the literature, I experienced absolutely zero post operative eye pain; she managed to avoid requiring a gas bubble that would have made the recovery process far less comfortable; she also accomplished the scleral buckle placement without cutting externally to my (petite) eye; and I appear to be on a very positive post-operative trajectory. Based upon my own experience, the experience of a colleague who had a different procedure performed by Dr. Lyon, and some comparative exposure to other practices, I would highly recommend Dr. Lyon for care. Further, I believe it would be merited for Dr. Lyon's Retinal Services to be ranked as a top practice in the nation.
