Dr Shah is such a good doctor. He’s very nice and pleasant to communicate with. He’s taught me how to breathe through the painful long cortisone injections. I tell him that I like him as my doctor but I don’t want to see him too much because of the pain.

He’s a fantastic doctor and is always looking for ways for me to feel better. I’m going through a particularly hard time now and he’s been very helpful. About 9 years ago, I was having parathyroid surgery with Dr. [name] at Northwestern, recommended and introduced by Dr. Hanauer. While Dr. [name] was checking on me after the surgery, Dr. Hanauer called him to see how I was doing which showed his care for his patients. What I didn’t know at the time was that Dr. Hanauer’s father had died that day and he took the time to reach out to my doctor to check in on me. Brings a tear to my eye while I’m writing this note. He’s an amazing doctor and person.
