I have had Dr. Persell as my PCP for more than 12 years, and he is hands-down the smartest, kindest, most attentive, and most caring physician I have ever had (including at other major academic medical centers in the US). I never feel rushed with him; he always listens to my concerns, takes all the time I need to ensure my questions are answered, and provides thoughtful and highly evidence-based advice for my care. He is always willing to pressure test ideas and discuss benefits and risks of a variety of options. I value him and his expertise very much, and Northwestern is lucky to have him.
