The purpose of my appointment was to discuss my ultrasound results, and she did not have them available. A few hours after my appointment, she messaged me in MyChart saying that my baby is measuring big, but she did not explain why this might be or if I should be concerned. I replied back with follow-up questions, but she did not directly answer them. I am nervous about why my baby is measuring larger than normal and donâ€™t feel that itâ€™s right for me to have to wait for my next appointment to ask a different doctor what is going on. In the past, other Northwestern doctors have called me to discuss ultrasound results, which felt much more reassuring and appropriate than communicating via an app.
