Very thorough and patient

The advice he gave was evidence based and was intended to avoid taking a young child into the ER or immediate care when all these virus strains are going around. But because of my daughters fever, we couldnt come in person to be checked and I felt he sort of waived away her consistent high fevers and didnt provide explanations for his reasoning. We stayed home another day on his advice, even after telling him she had a 104 fever. Another day went by, still 101-102 fevers with no other symptoms, so we took her to immediate care. Turns out she has a UTI and needed antibiotics. In the end, I understand his reasoning but I didnt understand why he made certain choices until the NP at immediate care explained it. I have a masters degree in healthcare and I wouldve appreciated more detail. I wasnt just being an anxious mom, and I sort of felt like thats what he assumed. Sure febrile seizures dont cause any permanent brain damage but I still dont want her having one, and that wouldve been good to know. I wouldve also liked to know why a baby might have high fevers and no other symptoms (turns out it was likely one of maybe three things which he couldve explained). If we hadnt gotten her to pee in the bag at immediate care (thank goodness we did because shes only 1), we wouldve had to do a catheter at the ER and who knows what other testing. I wish he wouldve said œif xyz occurs, just go straight to the ER?. I feel like we wasted time getting her the medication she needed, and if hadnt gotten the pee collected, we wouldve wasted time there too instead of going to the ER because I felt silly taking her at all when he said I didnt need to. I know its a covid issue, but an office visit wouldve been a huge help in this case and likely much safer for her than immediate care. In the end, she wanted even contagious, but the UTI did need attention.

He is very thorough and has a kind, approachable manner. He is very personable and an excellent doctor.

I haven’t met her yet face to face, this was a telephone meeting. I feel I need more time to evaluate her but so far I was very well impressed and I look forward to meeting her at my in office visit next week.

She explained everything she was going to do and answered all of my questions. She had read my chart before she entered the room and answered my questions based on the information there.

She was amazing. I came in with a lot of questions And she answered every single one of them in detail sighting research on many questions I had. I have an appointment with a practitioner from a different hospital system previous to this and it was night and day. When she first came into the room she talked to my child first and made her more comfortable. She also leviated fears and concerns that I had been having for the last few years about my child's sleeping snoring.I can't say enough good things about our first visit I would recommend her to any of my family and friends.

Dr. Mathew listens to me and offers different treatments that she feels may give me relief. After trying one that was short-lived, today we talked about a different approach to try . I appreciate the time she takes and the wonderful care she provides.

She was extremely patient with me and my nerves and was compassionate. She also explained everything that she would be doing in a way that made me feel a lot more comfortable.
