David DeLapp, DO
Dr. DeLapp is a calm, pleasant young physician with an open, respectful approach to his patients. He willingly explains his observations and recommendations in understandable language without that 'you won't understand it anyway' dismissive, dummied down tone some use. In other words, he respects patients' life experience, observations, and opinions. Respect is key here, and this capable young physician shares his knowledge and training with the manner of far more experienced practitioner whose ears and heart are open.

Dr Elborno was late, did not thoroughly discuss all topics (e.g., brushing past a description of genetic counseling), and rushed out before fully completing the visit (e.g., she had to poke her head back in the room to tell me about scheduling the next visits).Dr Elborno was somewhat informative, not personable, and entirely unprofessional. She spent much of our visit informing me what was wrong with my plans for my pregnancy. Not only were my plans for prenatal care incorrect (e.g., I should immediately change to a provider closer to my home but not covered as well by my insurance), but my healthcare preferences were entirely incorrect. The doctor rushed through the rest of the visit, did not discuss the exercise portion of the Nutrition, Hydration, and Exercise topic, and had to poke her head back in the room to tell me about scheduling next appointments. It was deeply off-putting. I waited a long time to get pregnant, this may be the only time I get to have this experience, and Dr Elborno made today’s experience thoroughly unenjoyable through her lack of professionalism.
