I was nervous as this was my consultation appointment as a new patient for Dr. Kahn. From the moment he knocked on the door, I knew I was in good hands. Dr. kahn made me feel comfortable and allowed me to express any concerns and we made decisions together to ensure I was comfortable and able to openly share everything happening.He did not distract himself with charts or computer and made sure we had a true conversation. It was a wonderful experience.

Dr. Alter listens to the patient’s concerns and explains everything in a very understandable language. You do not feel rushed by him.He is very prompt in calling you with results in the manner that he promised. He is very approachable where some doctors are not.The fact that Dr. Alter’s fellowship was performed at U of Chicago also speaks volumes to me since it is one of the best institutions in the country.

Ongoing consultation with him. He took time with me at my first appointment and helped me make some choices rather than dictating to me as some doctors do. He has a wonderful bedside manner. I feel confident in his knowledge base and that he is not jumping immediately to surgery but choses to start out with the less aggressive approaches to see how it works.
