I felt like she was willing to be collaborative in my treatment plan and didn’t just tell me what I ‘had’ to do. I felt extremely comfortable being really honest with her as well!

As a therapist, Dawn helps patients recognize their psychological barriers that contribute to uncomfortable and/or stressful bowel movements; ie: constipation, cramps, diarrhea; etc.As a teacher, Dawn provides lessons that teach patients how to counteract these psychological obstacles, to reduce stress and anxiety to ease their often dreaded bowel movements.Dawn also does a great job of identifying when a patient’s gastrointestinal problems are beyond behavioral sciences and refers them to Dr. Darren Brenner, MD - Gastroenterologist for further medical evaluation and testing. Some people make your day better. Some people make your life better. Dr. Dawn E. Epstein, PhD is someone who does both!
