When I recently went in for my annual exam, Dr. Anez de Gomez called me later in the day to say that my blood work results had problems, specifically indicating a problem with my kidneys. She told me to schedule a kidney ultrasound and other lab works for the next day, which I did. She emailed me the results later in the day, which showed a vitamin D poisoning due to my taking too high a dosage of by mistake. I had picked up my husband's bottle of Vitamin D which had 5000IU instead of mine, which was a much lower dose, which lead to the poisoning. I cannot give enough praise to Dr. Anez for how quickly she contacted me through this situation. She probably saved my life!
