She makes conversation throughout the skin exam, making me comfortable, and also explains all of my skin issues, and takes time to answer my question. She also asks me about all of my preventative care, and suggests doctors for care if I ask. One of the most thorough doctors I have had.

Expanding on the reasons stated above, Dr. Keegan is unhurried and caring, spending all the time necessary listen to my concerns and to ask and answer questions. She explains her findings thoroughly, and involves me completely in therapeutic decision-making, presenting the options and allowing us both to come to a treatment together.

Dr Keegan was 45 minutes late for the appointment. After I saw her assistant for 10 minutes no one came in to let me know she would be that late. I had another commitment that I missed because of her being so late. This was not the first time she has been very late for appointments.While she has an outgoing personality I didn’t find her prepared for my visit. It didn’t appear that she had read my chart and didn’t know my history particularly with my history of melanoma even though I have seen her a number of times before.

I have had Dr. Keegan as my Dermatologist for many, many years and have recommended her to many of my friends, over the years, as I think she is not only a smart doctor but a very caring person as well.
