I really appreciate the non-medication/injection treatment first over my previous podiatrist who injected me with cortisone within 5 mins of talking to me.

My ankle arthroplasty surgery has been brutal and I have cried over the pain. However, making my appointments with Brett and creating a better health & pain management plan that works for me became a very successful conversation with him. I was able to minimize my intake of morphine and Oxy with other medication as time progresses. He also was very empathetic to my emotional well being with my anxiety of having a cast on my leg that I could not mentally handle. When opening the cast we discovered skin necrosis over my stitches and created a wound care plan that has been successful. Brett has an empathetic and knowledgable P.A. who listens to the patients needs. Not everything can be textbook mandated for a patient and Brett is able to connect his medical knowledge and what the patient believes is best for them. I am 48 yrs old and have never cried so much in my life in front of a person, until this major surgery. I am grateful for Brett and Patrick (ACS).

My questions regarding PT about what helps recovery and what doesn't answered as well as they could be. I think he had to bring my overly aggressive expectations into the reality of my injury.

Dr. Wassink was the first podiatrist to actually believe there was something wrong with my ankle pain. He was thorough, professional and had a kind demeanor.
