The specific cardiologist I would never recommend to anyone, he was pushing symptoms I didn’t have on me and was eager to ask if I had anxiety or an eating disorder as an explanation. He was content to blame my symptoms on medications that I have never had any issues with and were prescribed years after symptom onset. Dr. Chicos was unprofessional and dismissive of the symptoms I described all because he didn’t want to believe I have a certain condition that is very commonly co morbid with a rare genetic disease I have. In fact he suspected a condition with polar opposite effects on heart rate simply because it is more common. Not only that but he dismissed the fact that numerous other doctors I have seen who have told me I have this specific condition, and he also stated in the appointment that he doesn’t deal with autonomic dysfunction yet he somehow still had the audacity to dismiss a possible diagnosis that he doesn’t specialize in while pushing other symptoms down a patients throat. I have experienced this type of care time and time again due to being a young woman navigating specialist after specialist and I will certainly not be following up with this provider again, ever.

Simply the way of speaking to me I felt very comfortable and the nurse lady explained to me if I wanted to speak in English or Spanish and that is an advantage for me who does not speak English thank you from the bottom of my heart
