Dr. Carlins prescribed a helpful new nasal spray for my post-nasal drip. However, near the end of the microsuctioning of my left ear, I experienced a sudden partial loss of hearing, as if the ear canal were blocked. Dr. Carlin said the ear needed to adjust to the change. The right ear, the one I came in for, experienced no similar effect. I am convinced that the instrument got too close to my eardrum or other sensitive part of the ear canal. Hearing almost normal now, but I'm experiencing discomfort in the left ear.
