Clear, concise, caring communication style, using his fingers to indicate the size of the hernia to be closed, and mention of only on incision, its length and location, plus amount of time the procedure would likely take. Beforehand, he explained the alternative, more-intensive procedure if I did not get treatment and the hernia got larger.
