In this instance, Dr. Mathias and her team are providing an effective and thoughtful treatment of my cataracts. The prospect of a trusted ophthalmologist who has given me such excellent care dealing with serious threats to vision now cutting and replacing part of my left eye was daunting. Now I enjoy closing one eye and then the other to compare the dull dim world of the yet to be repaired eye with the clear bright world of the corrected eye. No longer anxious, I’m eager to move on to the final round. My only regret is that I can’t share my present ability to see both the dim past and the bright future in the blink of an eye.
