I’ve gone to her for a long time. Since Women to Women became a NWM site, the “personal care” feeling has ended. It’s all about the numbers of patients, the $ and how quickly can a patient be seen.

The biggest barrier for me to access medical care is usually the fat bias of a provider and an unwillingness to treat me without weigh-ins or dieting, as I am in recovery for a restrictive eating disorder. I very much appreciated that Dr. Patel spoke to us clearly about diagnosis and options without bringing up my body size. I'm unsure if this is in my chart with them or not, but I appreciate Dr. Patel being respectful regardless.
