Dr. Eleanora Cekova and her staff provided a safe place and allowed a visitor in (my mom). Dr. Cekova explained what she was doing during the exam and treated me with dignity by being open to honest dialogue about my unique life experiences. She gave me relevant medical information in a professional way I can understand. I will follow doctor's orders to have a mammogram and also go back to Dr. Cekova for a pap in a year (and earlier if I have any gynecological issues.) She and her staff inspire trust.

I felt that I was rushed through the appointment. It was as if she had better things to do and/or patients to see. She knew the concern that I wanted to talk about and she suggested surgery. She responded (paraphrased) 'I'm a surgeon I'm known for my surgery.' and I told her that I prefer not to go down that route, that I knew of a another surgical procedure that was less invasive and at this point she made no effort to ask me what the surgery was. I was not questioning her surgery abilities. Also, I thought she got a bit snarky with me when she told me that she would set up a follow-up appointment via telehealth within 'X' amount weeks to talk about a test that needed to be done that was discussed. I told her that I needed 'X' more time for said appointment. She responded (paraphrased) 'Well, I don't know how busy you are.' I felt if has asked me first what my time frame was this discussion would not have happened. Overall, I was not impressed.

Dr. Nixon did a wonderful job on my surgery, explaining to me the decisions made in surgery and the reasoning behind them. I have no doubt I’m going to feel ten times better with this knee in comparison to my other knee which had the same operation from another provider. He went over in detail with me what to expect and what my goals are in P.T.
