We used to see Steven Westerhof years ago when he was in the same office practice as our primary care physician so we were delighted that he was availale to see us today. He was always knowledgeable and respectful and we were always happy when we could see him if our PCP was unavailable.

When I am unable to get an appointment with my regular physician, I always seek out appointments with Westerhof. He has always listened to me, made me feel validated, make referrals for other appointments or lab work and really makes me feel like he cares about my well being. He never downplays how I am feeling and wants to get to the bottom of why my symptoms are happening.

Yes, I was seen by someone who examined me and then gave me the prescription that I used to get the medication. But that was all there was to it. We hardly spoke anything that wasn't necessary to complete the examination. I received a greeting, but not much else. They didn't tell me anything about what they were doing, what they found, or what the medication they prescribed to me was going to do. I do realize that perhaps I should've asked for these details, but I nevertheless went through my visit without getting them. They did good work and the medication did relieve my symptoms--which I am thankful for, but they did not give me the informative side of the visit that I expected to get. Like telling me about what the symptoms I had suggested and what they were doing about it, I mean. But overall, good visit. My symptoms were addressed and eventually treated by the medication prescribed to me. They did their job, just not their *whole* job.

It's always nice to be able to see the same provider, most of the time. PA Westerhof is someone you want to take care of your medical needs. He's friendly, understanding, and listens to your specific concerns. He recommends a clear path for recovery.

Steve is an asset to the practice. His demeanor, and professionalism should be a model for others. I followed him from WSFM to FFM and will go where he goes. When he retires, I’ll be looking at another facility.
