When I told Dr. Parham that I wanted to know how to safely come off of my medication, he said that I would have to be on it for life. After repeating the statement that I wanted to get off of my medication, he became visibly upset, stood up and stated, āif you are going to argue with me Iām leaving.ā Not one time during the visit did he ever ask questions related to why perhaps I wanted to come off of my medications. This was my first visit with Dr. Parham as I picked him as my new cardiologist based upon his video presentation on the SSMHealth website and was sadly disappointed with the level of ācareā he provided.

Just wish he would take more time to hear his patients out. It shouldnāt matter whether or not he hears āthese symptomsā 4 or 5 times a day as he puts it. Every person is different and Iām sure heās compensated regardless so to have the attitude he does about it sounds like heās in the wrong line of work. I like interacting with doctors who care about their patients and itās much more pleasant and reassuring when they do, otherwise youāre stuck in a repetitive cycle of disingenuous experiences by dismissive doctors who think because another said it was anxiety, it MUST be anxiety.

He actually seems to care about the patient and doesn't rush you out. He went over everything in detail and then asked to make sure I understood the test he needed and why.
