She is knowledgeable and went to medical school, but she needs to understand that there is no one size fits all when it comes to treatment for Hashimotos. Listening to the patient and their symptoms. Diet is not the only solution. Most patients know their own bodies and what works and what doesn’t, so when they do have complaints, hear them, vs interrupting them and suggesting diet when the disease itself causes weight gain and the body doesn’t convert the medication from t4 to t3- it’s not diet. My neck is swollen and she didn’t even check me, not once did she stand from the chair, typing and looking on the computer the whole time along with a resident sitting next to me. I asked why I was retaining so much water weight- said normal, but it’s not 81lbs of my weight- water really?? Swollen - normal?? Labs abnormal. Beyond frustrated because in 12 years of going to this clinic- my labs have never been stable. I know she won’t have all the solutions for me but I just want my thyroid issues to be resolved/stable. Hopefully after sending her the long message she realizes and she did respond back personally to the message, so hopefully we can be on the same page from here on out.

I have a long term "care" relationship with Dr. . She is attentive and focused yet shows caring and compassion as she tends to my needs. I thank her very much for this and her ongoing guidance with a listening ear.

I felt very comfortable and learned a lot about the thyroid in Dr’s explanation of it and the sincere caring as to my own concerns. Dr also, was interested in my personal well being probably a lot because of my age but at the same time because she cares.

She repeated to make sure she understood, explained all the things that could be causing it and why and she went over possible treatments and apologized for the three month wait since I had presented as hyperthyroid. I appreciated the speed and thoroughness plus later I had a question which she answered within a day. She is excellent

Overall very satisfied with the experience. One interesting chance I noticed is with the demeanor of the front office staff. There is visible positive change in their behavior. They are greeting patients, smiling during the conversations. The experience changed in a positive way.

Doesn’t remember what we discussed the last time. Wouldn’t give a referral. Has never advised to get thyroid ultrasound or anything else.
