Thought we had a clear understanding on medication issues....clearly we do not. I explained it to your nurse again this morning 9 am to the other nurse. She did offer an alternative to ignoring my obviously difficult management of my pain levels but only had other optional drugs as a maybe. A functional and as near pain free existence as is possible, given my diagnosis, is all I am after and what I am hearing is; NO, we are only willing to help in a way that doesn't quite work. Frustrated by regulations and Pharmacist interference. Continnuity is my primary. All I have EVER asked is for the script to be filled when it is ordered by your office....NOTHING EXTRA. Seems that cannot be managed at present without having to take a week out of each month to walk my script thru the obstacle course. I always thought that a script written was a script that needs to be filled for decent continuity. Seems that is not the case. As previously stated, I'm not asking for ANYTHING EXTRA and I have been openly honest about how I am managing my issues. Thought we were on the same page, obviously I must have had my rose colored glasses on that day. Pain clinic here we come.....lets try some chemical experiments to see if something else"might" work, regardless of the successful Hx. of what you have been doing. Thanks for well, geez, making a mountain out of a molehill.

He never gets done on what he calls me in for. I asked him about ED and he doesn't say anything about it just kind of smiles. I ask to go to another doctor and he said no I didn't need to see a different doctor. I may be looking for a new doctor.

has not been one instance of not enough time and he always asks if there is any other medical concern I might have. Some would simply ask that question, Dr. V. and staff wait for the answer before cutting you loose.

Dr. Vanderkaay has been my doctor since I moved to the United States over a decade ago, and in all that time, he has shown nothing but sincerity, kindness, and a true willingness to listen. That alone has earned my deepest trust and respect. He cares not only for me but for my entire family, and I know we are in good hands with him. I truly couldn’t ask for more in a doctor.

I understand it is practice-wide policy to only issue authorization for temporary handicapped parking permits. I believe this is not necessarily Dr. Vanderkaay's policy. I'm clearly disabled; I walk with a rollator, have drop foot, weakness in one leg, and poor balance, yet I have the added inconvenience of requesting a 6 month parking permit from the office, and then make an appointment with the SOS and have to stand in line for about a half hour there. This is extremely inconvenient and unreasonable. I highly recommend Dr. Vanderkaay, except for this issue.
