Dr. Tyler Oakeson gets 4 stars from me because I don't think any medical person deserves 5 stars, except maybe for Dr. Louis Pasteur. It took me 3 years to find an OD comparable to the OD I had to give up when I left Los Alamos, and that was because M&M kept putting me with a different, new-hire doctor every year. I was unable to build a history. That problem is solved now with Dr. Oakeson keeping a close eye on me, the cataracts and the macular degeneration he discovered and is closely monitoring. I would gladly recommend him to anyone seeking an excellent eye specialist in the Prescott area, as long as they don't interfere with Dr. Oakeson treating me.

10/27/26....Dr. Oakeson is terrific. I normally deal with Dr. Arthur @ M&M for my 6 months checkups. Dr. Arthur is terrific and I was really impressed with Dr. Oakeson when I recently went to M&M for a prescription and met Dr. Oakeson for the first time. I was really impressed with Dr. Oakeson's knowledge and his caring.

he had a great gentle way about him with me. he relaxed me and helped me get to the 20/20 line. took me several tries but he was patient and got me there. that is important as I am a reader. looking forwards to the new RX. thank you. I'll be back next year. also, he told me I am getting close to cataract watching time. I knew it was coming. good to know and plan for. thanks

Very casual yet VERY professional. Immediately comfortable with him. Described what he was doing step by step and moved through the process quickly. Verbally (no rush!) articulated the results and made recommendations on future potential needs and when. Happy to have him on next years' eye checkup!

Dr. Oakeson diagnosed a retinal issue and immediately set in motion a speedy referral to your retinal specialist, Dr. Boyd. His clear and factual explanation of the matter is greatly appreciated as it was done in a professional, clear and understandable manner. Although I have worked for Allergan, Inc. when it specialized in eye care/contact lenses, I am not a clinically trained expert on the structure of the eye. Therefore, I appreciated his factual and precise information which allows me to understand the issue and to quickly obtain further treatment as necessary.

Dr. Oakeson was friendly and professional. He explained what my current eye conditions are with floaters. He looked at the history of retina tears and shared warning signs to be be aware of. Lastly, he explained what is evolving with my cataracts. I felt that he understood my personalized eye health.
