My wife joined me in my visit with Dr Turpin. Before leaving the exam room he asked my wife how she was doing and asked if there was anything he could help her with. I thought it was very thoughtful of him to ask about her wellbeing and acknowledge her existence with me.

Dr Turpin was and is very patient. She is developmentally disabled and he shows her understanding and empathy towards her issues. She really likes him and appreciates his listening skills.

I appreciated that Dr Turpin recognized that my pain level was too high; I think I had gotten used to it and I forgot that I needed need to just live with it. His empathy was refreshing.
