I had an excellent experience with Dr. Wanich. He correctly diagnosed the source of my knee pain and took the time to thoroughly explain my MRI so I could clearly understand what was going on by looking at the imaging together.
Before seeing him, I had been told by another doctor at NY Orthopedics that my ACL was the problem and that I needed surgery. Dr. Wanich explained that my ACL was not the issue—it was my meniscus, or rather the lack of it. Getting a second opinion from him made all the difference. It became clear that I could have undergone an unnecessary surgery that would not have addressed the real problem and may have even made things worse.
I'm incredibly grateful that I sought a second opinion with Dr. Wanich. His expertise, integrity, and willingness to explain everything gave me confidence in my treatment plan. I highly recommend him to anyone as I consider him top in his field.

My surgeon is very friendly and knowledgable. At first meeting, he assured me what type ACL surgery method fit me, and he gave the confidence to proceed the surgery.

There was no need for me to see Dr Bennett before Dr Wanich. That visit was unnecessary in my case. Cost me time and money.

Dr. Wanich and staff were all outstanding. I could not have asked for a better team to care for my son during a very scary and challenging injury. Surgery could not have gone better and the care we received post op provided so much help managing physical and mental challenges having a teen boy going through a very hard injury. When other surgeons told us they could not help with my son’s injury Dr. Wanich got him back with such care.

I could not be more impressed with my doctors (Dr. Tony Wanich, Dr. [ ], and Dr. [ ]) and the entire HSS staff.
While my injury was unfortunate, my treatment at HSS was a pleasant and reassuring experience in an industry that can often be frustrating and overwhelming.
At the risk of sounding hyperbolic, HSS’s care, communication, and management should be the standard that all providers seek to match.
