Clinical notes said he did a "test" while manipulating my foot which had a positive result. He did not mention this to me during the appointment, and I would have liked to have discussed the implications in the appointment to understand better. However, it was in his notes and the issue is not very severe so it was OK in the end.

Dr. Hearty performed ankle replacement surgery for me. His preparation for the surgery was extremely thorough. The surgery was fairly complicated and required several adjustments to areas of the foot in order to ensure success. The results are everything I could have hoped for.

Very nice doctor, polite and courteous, listened to my complaints and diagnosed my condition. Explained what I needed to do to correct the issue and gave me instructions (handout) on how to perform exercises.

I am so very pleased with the outcome of my TAR surgery. It literally has changed my life because I did not realize how much my mobility had been affected by the pain I was in. I am pain free for the first time in years. Dr. Hearty has been attentive, caring and compassionate. His staff has been awesome too. I have recommended him to my TAR replacement support group and his name is now in their files as recommended surgeon for TAR replacement.
