Doc Iyer very easy to talk to. As opposed to the neurosurgeon I saw before him. He gets you.

Dr. Iyer explained my problems very carefully and in a detailed way so I could understand my surgery options. He spent a lot of time answering my questions and was extremely patient and kind. I was very impressed with his obvious expert knowledge and with the potential solutions to my issues that he described.

Dr Iyer was so easy to talk to and felt comfortable with him. Hes very patient and answered all my questions. I decided after going to different surgeons I liked him the best

The reason I did not give a 10 out of 10 is because the doctor was 20+ minutes late, had not reviewed the images prior to the meeting and when I tried to call the hospital to find out what was going on the phone system was down and I couldn't get through. That said I really like Dr. Iyer and he seemed very knowledgeable and was straightforward.

Dr Iyer shows patience, understanding, and he really listens to me. My experiences with all HSS staff has been similar. I truly feel like every HSS employee cares about patients and their goal is to make patients have an exceptional experience at HSS. I cannot recvonend Dr Iyer and HSS more highly.

Dr Iyer is not only a skillful, knowledgeable, superior surgeon; but also very compassionate and empathetic to the fear that accompanies this kind of surgery. He took the time to explain everything both to the myself (patient) and my daughter and various intervals during my surgery. I would rate him higher than "Very Good" - he is Excellent.

I was very uneasy going into a major back surgery but once I was in the care of HSS, all my fears and discomfort went away. Top notch from start to finish and would highly recommend to anyone thinking about spine surgery

Dr Iyer made me feel like I was in good hands! Explained everything in detail. Also, explained how the following weeks may go and what to expect. So far, officially 2 weeks after, he was right on target.
