You need to listen to you patients and ask appropriate questions. Don’t assume their weight gain is from eating junk especially when they already see a bariatric doctor and they exercise 4-5 times a week. They come to you for help - not to be talked down to. I sure hope I don’t have ovarian cancer because I have all the signs and symptoms yet you as a provider missed it. Maybe train your medical assistant to accurately take a blood pressure dont have someone dangle their legs either. Your feet should be on the floor with back against the chair - plus I was her anxious! I got home it was normal NOT because I’m obese!

She listens to my concerns and explains everything from normal reactions to potential solutions. I walk away with confidence that she is guiding me correctly and in the direction that is best for me and my health.

Just had very outdated ideas and rather than look to more natural approaches she wants more prescriptions which of course increases what she takes home
