I took my mom to her appointment with Dr. Amarasekera for a follow up and all went well. Dr. Amarasekera explained as to what she saw in the pictures they took of her eye from a surgery. We did wait for a bit but we were in and out in less than an hour.

My eye specialist was so nice and very professional. Since I’m a diabetic patient she emphasized the importance of having eye exam annually to catch and treat possible complications of my illness. I will keep that in mind.
And very thankful for taking care of me.

The experience was perfect. Every staff member was professional, courteous and thorough. Dr. Sohani took the time to explain not only the procedure, but also the cause of the issue. She was personable and her disarming manner put me at ease. She made sure that she gave me a clear understanding about what to expect after the procedure and what to expect in the future. She also encouraged me to ask questions and took the care to answer them completely.

Dr. Sohani is nothing short of extraordinary. From the very first appointment you can tell youre in the hanfs of someone incredibly capable. From there,
through my scleral buckle surgery and recovery, she combined exceptional skill, professionalism, and genuine compassion in a way that made an overwhelming experience feel, idk...manageable.
Her expertise and pedigree were immediately clear, and her confidence gave me tremendous peace of mind during a very scary time. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly, answered every question with patience, and made me feel truly cared for—not just as a patient, but as a person.
The surgery itself was a success, and I’m beyond grateful for her precision and dedication. She has a great personality and bedside manner.On top of all that, she’s absolutely delightful—kind, approachable, and yes, definitely easy on the eyes too...pun intended.
I can’t recommend Dr. Sohani highly enough. If you are trusting someone with something as important as your vision, you could not be in better hands.

Dr. Amarasekera was kind and thorough. She explained my medical issue clearly, and gave me excellent advice about my situation. Her office has state of the art technology that immediately diagnosed my eye impairment. I would not hesitate going back to see her again.

I cannot recommend Dr. Sohani Amarasekera highly enough. After undergoing extensive chemotherapy that significantly impacted my vision, I was fortunate to find Dr. Amarasekera. She has been instrumental in helping me recover my eyesight and regain my quality of life.
From the very first visit, Dr. Amarasekera has been incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. She takes the time to thoroughly explain everything, answer all my questions, and always checks in with me about how things are progressing. Her attention to detail and compassionate approach made a difficult recovery process much more manageable.
