I also visited the Fairview ER in Edina, Southdale twice in the past week and I had excellent experiences both times. Everyone treated me very well. I was seen relatively quickly and I felt I was fully listened to and treated. My condition was treated absolutely perfectly. So I would recommend the ER and I'm very happy with my experience.

Excellent prep before hand so I knew what to expect. Went very smoothly at the hospital. ALL staff were kind, clear, and knowledgable.

I just couldn't believe how quickly I was checked in, medical history taken, nurses made me feel at ease, the doctor explained everything well and the experience was better than expected.

Everyone was professional, answered my questions and everything went according to what they described.

Meeting with Dr Shaheen was great. It was getting that appointment that was questionable. I'd had a biopsy and was called about the results. I was told the tumor was benign and they'd just watch it and could have another mammogram in a year. I questioned why any tumor wouldn't be removed especially since they didn't quite know what it was. It's questionable if it's a phyllodes. They had no problems setting up an appointment with a surgeon for a consultation. I'm glad I did. Apparently phyllodes are always removed. Even if they think that's what it is. And even if they're not cancerous. So if I had just listened to the nurse calling me back post biopsy, that could be very bad for my health. Phyllodes are less than 1% of tumors. Fast growing. Sometimes cancer. Glad I listened to myself and not just 'come back in a year'.
