First time meeting Dr. Schoifet . He treated me like knew me forever.

Medical records were reviewed prior to appointment, knowledge of past medical procedure referred to - this was excellent. Physician asked questions regarding my reason for scheduling the appointment, my responses were challenged and the questions repeated no response seemed acceptable-adequate. I obviously made a mistake, so human, and was not a candidate for his surgical specialty, how that was communicated was less than effective. What was amazing to me was the visit could have been more productive by being genuinely patient focused. Instead the visit spiraled into a 'prove me wrong' scenario. I felt the line of questioning was underpinned with a bias-predetermined bent.

Waited over One hour past my appointments time. I know this happens, but it was one hour before staff had the courtesy to tell me he was running late. Any wait past a half hour should prompt a courtesy advise.

Second knee replacement with Dr Schoifet coming up. Not excited about it but I know I'm in good hands. The first one was 2017 and still going strong.

Dr Schoifet actually went above his job. After letting me know I didn't need knee replacement he could have sent me back to my primary but instead he walked me through what was actually wrong and how to take care of it. He listened to me without being condescending. He didn't make me doubt myself or make light of my pain as my previous Dr with the group.

This was my first visit and I was well treated from the time I walked in the door to the time I left. They treated me with the utmost respect. They identified and told me everything that I needed and explained everything to me thoroughly. The x-ray department was very kind. I really appreciated that visit and it was very nice and understandable. Thank you.

Dr Schoifet is a great surgeon! This was my second knee replacement with him- left now right. He was patient in showing me the exercise he wanted me to do especially since I was not catching on very fast. He took the time to answer all of my questions to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend Dr Schoifet if you need a total knee replacement!!

I am more than pleased with the level of care I received during my experience with the Virtua Orthopedic team. Right from the start I knew that I was in good hands with Dr Schoifet and his team. They answered all my questions clearly and in a way that was exactly what I needed to hear in order to put my mind at ease. The Physical Therapy team was great, and were able to attend to my specific needs when I had questions about the therapies I was receiving. All in all my recovery has been a steady walk forward (pun intended) due to the professional care given by the Virtua Orthopedic staff, from checking in for appointments, to the surgery, physical therapy sessions, and post-op care. Thank you to the staff for your excellent support.

I scheduled an appointment to have my knee drained and he did not provide that for me. I have a lot of pressure and pain in the knee and the only way to relieve it is by draining. I received a cortisone shot, but a few hours later, I'm in pain again. I have scheduled an appointment to see my orthopedic doctor. I get this done every 3 months, but my doctor wasn't available this time. I've been doing this for a few years now and I know what my knee needs when I'm in pain and this provider did not listen to me.

After having a full knee replacement and a six-week follow-up, I felt that the doctor should have spent more time examining my knee and speaking with the patient. It was a quick conversation, no discussion, and it was just you need to do X, Y, and Z and see you in another six weeks.

Dr Schoifet demonstrated professionalism, efficiency and a caring attitude. I appreciate the exercise plan he devised in order to help my arthritis in my knees and build strength. I feel positive moving forward with this plan and reassessing in a few months.

Came to doc to start the process of replacing mt knee and he explained why I shouldn't! Doc told me my pain was likely from another source and suggested I use a different doc! Happy result!
