Dr ordered an iron infusion. I wanted to know cost as I have a $7200 deductible. When emailed that I could not afford and suggested an alternative she never responded.

I don’t feel like I’m getting listened to. I’ve been through a lot in the last year and I don’t get the express everything that has been going on because I get overwhelmed thinking about it. This provided also was my mothers primary doctor. When my mother was alive I don’t feel like she was paying attention to her health. She always seen how swollen my mothers legs were knowing she has a cardiac condition. She should have sent my mother to the cardiologist a long time ago when she first noticed the swelling. I’ve asked to be referred to a cardiologist because congestive heart failure is a genetic trait and I should be getting checked at this age. The provider felt like I did not need to see a cardiologist because there was no issues relating to it. There was absolutely a factor in there that it is a genetic trait. I don’t feel understood by my provider.

I am disappointed in the notes from the short appointment that made it look like she did a thorough exam. She said I had fifteen minutes. She did not get up out of the chair and even listen to my heart or look in my ear that I was complaining about.

I have seen Dr. Schmidt once before and she was rude, standoffish, and belittling of my previous treatment by one of her partners. She walked in and made a comment about not wanting a challenge today. It put me on edge for the whole visit.

I hope Dr. Schmidt stays with her practice for a long time. She is just so great at her job. Thoughtful, listens, cares and provides relief. She is invaluable. She has been treating me for diabetes and heart stuff and she is up to date and gives me great advice and in such a great manner. I don't feel bad about myself for the diabetes and she has helped me to lose a lot of weight with her encouragement and knowledge of my issues. Such an awesome person. So good at what she does for us.
