To me, Dr. Chen is the quintessential family physician, of all the other Family/Internal Physicians that I have ever been friends with, and absolutely, he is my family's exclusive and only physician, and I used to have him, too, from the very beginning, as well, and I was the 1st (in my family) ever to know his staff. Before I had a young Dr. Kusiak (who was soon-to-be his favorite partner-in-medicine and later friend, who also has a lot in common, with him) as a current, primary care physician, as well as anybody, under his care, esp. that was/is associated with Chen, and now, Dr. Dyksterhouse, I actually had Dr. Chen 1st. He was in fact, the 2nd physician, to always make sure I feel safe with him, as well as to always make sure that I always eat more plant-based food, exercise more, doing additional chores, more, and esp. learning how to 'remain calm,' in tough times. For more than a quarter of a century, Dr. Chen has been the more calm, quiet, low-key and amazing doctor and the kind of friend that he would ever listen. He is still the "most-used" and "top" physician, of all the others that I've listed!

I usually have difficult and complex situations to review. I make sure that I have an organized script to help the overall efficiency because I know the time is precious with so many other patients. If my situation was simple, I either wouldn't make a visit...or the visit could be 5 minutes. Bottom line is that Dr. Chen has been excellent coping with my challenging visits.

Dr. Chen is quite knowledgeable and efficient. He is very thorough and explains the pros and cons of each procedure. He is very personable and pleasant. In all of these years seeing Dr. Chen, I have never had a negative experience.

Dr. Chen is great. What I don't like is the amount of time it takes to be seen. Trinity Health tells patients to arrive 10 minutes ahead of the scheduled appointment, which makes the waiting time even longer and more annoying.

Dr Chen is always kind and listens to my concerns. He gives the impression that he would sit and chat for an hour!....which of course he CAN'T. But he spends a lot of time with me, explaining things clearly, and is always respectful and kind.
