I travel 6 hours every six months from [City, State] to Birmingham and TKC-NEUROLOGY for followup visits with my physician, Dr. Rocio Vazquez. Dr. Vazquez is outstanding in every way; knowledge of her specialty and my condition (MG), interest in her patient's condition and progress, asks appropriate questions, listens carefully to answers and helpfully responds, is an excellent communicator, goes beyond the call of duty to facilitate patient access to needed care and-procedures (e.g., she ordered and arranged for me to schedule a needed MRI at a hospital in [City]).

Dr Vazquez took time with me and was genuinely interested in helping me find out all that is wrong with me. She Was amazing.

My doctor showed real concern for me and trying to make sure she finds out what wrong with me

Honestly, the best doctor I have ever seen. Extremely knowledgeable/smart, down to earth, but also listens and is very patient with every question I have. I can see the respect the staff has for her. I appreciate the opportunity to leave this positive feedback.

I have gone to doctors my entire life having a hereditary medical issue. UAB and especially my Neurologist have been more helpful at finding the answers and treatments I needed personally. If I could give my neurologist higher than a 10 I would. She listens to what I have to say which is far to uncommon these days. My unique issues are often dismissed or second guessed by other doctors. I can honestly say with a few exceptions of course that my personal experience with UAB has had a positive impact on my daily life.

Staff was polite, Dr. was knowledgeable, and thorough. It takes a while to get an appointment or to have certain testing done.
