I arrived a few minutes early and let them know I was present. I was called back exactly at my scheduled time. I was seen briefly by an eye technician and then I was called back to an exam room by Dr Knox. Nothing like the long wait times I experienced at [ ] in Birmingham. Dr Knox was very thorough and discussed surgical options since surgery was the only way to address my glaucoma. His scheduler will follow up next week to get my right eye scheduled for surgery.

I made my new patient appointment when my husband had a presurgery appointment. It just so happened that his postoperative appointment was scheduled later in the day of my new patient appointment. I called asking if they could decrease the wait time between our appointments. The receptionist put the appointments at the same time. The day of our appointment we were in the doctor’s office only an hour. This was such a blessing and I appreciate the receptionist being so kind to accommodate our request. I thank the doctor and staff for their caring attitude. We received outstanding care from all employees of the UAB/Callahan clinic team.

Dr. Knox is knowledgeable and confident. He left me feeling like I was in good hands. He also demonstrated flexibility when discussing the possibility of having to coordinate surgery with another specialist. MJ was upbeat and reassuring.

Staff are very cordial and friendly. I like the fact that there is office in Alexander City. Very pleased with the results from my eye exam and the ease in setting up future procedures and appointments.
