Needs to prepare better. He thought I was in for a physical and could've saved a considerable amount of time if he was aware that my appointment was for a follow up

I have had many doctors over the years and will never look for another as long as Dr. Ritsema is practicing. He doesn't push drugs and actually has healthy alternatives for me instead of a new prescription. I have recommended him to several of my friends and some have switched over to him.

I just thought it was unfortunate that they were so far behind schedule and no one stopped in to let me know that they were behind nor when I could expect the doctor to show up. I had a meeting to get back to after the appt and felt rushed. I was there on time, so it just felt frustrating. I understand that someone else probably needed more time and that's totally fine. I just wish someone would have communicated the delay to me. Other than that though, he's an awesome doc and I would certainly recommend him.

Dr. Ritsema spent extra time with me as I told him about a recent tragedy in my family. Compassionate, caring, empathetic - these words are accurate but seem inadequate to fully express how he received this news and how he responded.
