Dr. Purtell actually asked me how I was! And asked me several times if there was anything else I wanted her to look at. This was my first visit with Dr. Purtell and she was caring, compassionate, and easy to talk to. Everything I look for in a primary care doctor.

I was looking for a new IHA provider that focuses on seniors and was relatively near my residence. She made me so comfortable that I decided to go with her after 20+ years with my former provider who I dearly loved.

Awesome! I really connected with my previous PCP and was disappointed when she left IHA. After meeting with Dr. Purtell, no concerns and I am hopeful she stays :)

She was also positive about a plan a friend and I have implemented regarding making contact with each other's family if we suspect issues with one another. Also, Dr. Purtell gave me a verbal RX encouraging me to be more proactive about socializing - when I told her I was "thinking about" joining the local senior center or volunteering within a local school district.
