I appreciated the kind and professional care from all persons involved with my appointment. I really like getting the summary by way of MyChart and a way to send and receive messages regarding any questions or clarifications after the appointment.

The entire team and provider were extremely kind and supportive. She really helped me to understand what was happening and how we can go forward to fix it plus help me with referrals to other docs that can treat me and get me back on track with my health. Everyone was professional and made me feel comfortable, I’m very thankful to everyone there.

Everything was great, except the scheduler seemed to be relatively stressed out. I didn't feel like she was listening to me. She said she got irritated because I had said I would prefer a specific day and she took that as an absolute, that I was not going to be able to entertain coming on any other day, which wasn't true. I was just saying that I would prefer a particular day. There was a bit of a miscommunication. She just seems like she needs to like de-stress a little. I was at work and she called and I almost never accept calls.

Dr. Powell and Melissa are absolutely amazing. They both give the feeling that you are their most important patient and that not only is your physical important but also your emotional health. The best!!!

I was overly satisfied with the visit. The doctor was very attentive and asked questions and listened to feedback and provided good advice and good direction on the issues that I was having, as well as addressed any additional comments or questions that I had, even going outside of their typical scope, and were able to address or schedule follow-ups for the various things that I was looking to have addressed. So overall, very satisfied with the appointment visit and the doctor herself.

The PARs are wonderful and kind and welcoming, which matters a lot in healthcare overall but especially in these types of "higher stakes" clinics, for lack of better terms. Being greeted calmly, kindly, but brightly and welcoming is a HUGE role of the front office staff and this clinic was wonderful (despite the way the counters are built to obstruct view, which I'm sure is probably safety and compliance). I feel like I had to explain my entire health history at both visits, but unsure if this is more of a standard protocol for doctors to hear the patient's side of what is happening instead of just the clinicals and chart reviews. Want to give the most immense shoutout and gratitude for Dr. Powell. She was very efficient but very informative and helpful. She validated absolutely everything I was feeling and observing, she never once made me feel like I was "wrong" or incorrect, and would elaborate every single worry of mine in an anxiety reducing way while also ensuring I did not feel like I was overreacting or underreacting. She was very thorough in explaining everything she was doing and saying and WHY and how it would affect my long term care. I did not get the answer I was "hoping for," I suppose, but she explained every single reason as to why. Additionally, Dr. Powell found existing issues that had been unaddressed, not even mentioned by any of my previous care teams (both inside and outside of Renown) regarding this same health situation. She explained to me how those underlying issues have brought me to where I am and put me on the correct path to fixing them. I am immensely thankful for Dr. Powell's honesty and willingness to put me on the right health path with my best intentions at heart, rather than agreeing for a band-aid fix to a bigger issue for extra money in her pocket. Dr. Powell has an amazing skill of helping patients navigating big emotions with hard truths while also explaining why things are the way they are. She is also wonderful at communicating everything she is doing, why she is doing it, and when she is doing it, especially in an uncomfortable setting to ensure the least amount of "uncomfortable-ness" possible in those scenarios. Additionally, for both of my visits here, I had the same CNA or nurse, I believe her name was Melissa or Michelle (short blonde/white hair; tall; tattoos). She was wonderfully gentle and kind. She made my comfort and privacy a priority as much as possible during these uncomfortable visits while I was alone. From the moment we met, she just radiates a "warm hug" vibe, which I am finding rarer and rarer as the years go on since nurses are getting constant hassle. I can't express how thankful enough I am for these two women for my care during my visit that day. Despite the intensity of the appointment, it was undeniable how much you could tell their oath is to true, quality CARING for patients.

Dr. Powell was very professional, thorough and supportive which helped me get through an uncomfortable and embarrassing examination process. The Front Desk staff was very nice and check in was easy. It did take longer to get an appointment date (almost 3 weeks) than I would have hoped. The staff is stretched thin but they still provide excellent service.

I was treated with the utmost kindness and respect from Dr. Powell and her staff. I was there for an embarrassing condition and they treated me with respect and dignity, even though she stuck her finger on my butt.

Dr. Powell reviewed my healthcare and actively listened to my healthcare concerns, particularly with regard to my paternal family's high rate of death due to colon cancer. Dr. Powell confirmed on multiple occasions my fear that Cologuard was insufficient to evaluate my colon health. I informed Dr. Powell that I had stated this concern to Renown on multiple occasions and was advised that a negative Cologuard test result had been shown to be quite dependable in detecting colon cancer. This is certainly not intended as jab at my primary physician Dr. Roscoe who I think is a great healthcare provider. I suspect being rebuffed by Renown was largely due to the anticipated rejection of coverage by Optum RX. In any event, when I advised Dr. Powell of my repeated inquiries about the need for a colonoscopy, she repeated several times " You were Right". To which I replied "In this case, I prefer not to be right."

I have been listened to which was important to me. I feel well cared for and heard!

Dr. Powell met with me both pre and post op to discuss my situation, prognosis and treatment plan. She demonstrated caring but also frankness, and gave me high confidence in her competence and commitment to give me the best outcome possible. In addition, several medical professionals involved in my health care individually expressed their high regard for and confidence in Dr. Powell. I feel extremely fortunate to have had her as my surgeon.
