He is an extraordinary primary care physician. He thoroughly reviews the medical records and test results and makes sound diagnoses, recommendations and referrals, as necessary. He wants to make sure we are watching our weight, exercising regularly, staying active, and getting our vaccinations and booster shots in a timely manner.

Dr. Pickford is extremely thorough, taking the time to review my file and to make recommendations on med dosages, necessary tests, etc. He is straight forward with telling his patients the way it is and I am appreciative of his candor about my health and what I can do to improve it.

While he maybe a good doctor, his argumentative nature, and refusal to allow anyone to speak long enough to explain things to him, I will still see him, due to lack of healthcare in the area, but cannot recommend to anyone without thick skin that he will be a good fit for them. Prayers for him and his manners.

Although he admitted that he had never heard of my condition, he questioned the efficacy of the treatment prescribed by an allergist at a large teaching hospital in Chicago. Further, he challenged me on my decision to cease taking a drug, asked me to get out of my wheelchair and to sit on the examination table. I complied awkwardly as the room was tiny and I had to step over and between footrests to get there and once I had achieved this feat, he told me that I did it wrong. Although I am his patient, he directed his conversation and questions to my daughter and rarely looked my way. He rolled his eyes when I was unable to tell him the dosage of a medication as I discarded the bottle and his post appointment notes included double question marks after his report on this.
