I had wonderful care from Dr Monterio (sp) when I had my disc replacement 9 years ago. I saw him again in September 2023 and thankfully didn't have to have surgery, but I knew I'd be in good hands if I did. Sorry to see him retire but wish him all the best.

I could go on and on about this group, however I'm going to make it sweet and to the point. From the moment you walk into the office, you're going to walk into a clean office, that welcoming feeling, professional staff, and most of all'.. no long wait time.I would recommend that you give this team a chance to better understand the reason I feel this way

Everyone was terrific -- the clinic receptionists, the medical assistant, and Dr. Monteiro. They all made me feel comfortable during the entire visit. I can't remember ever feeling as at ease in a medical setting.Even the information desk receptionist as I entered showed me exactly where to go when I asked directions. She got up from her desk and lead me a short way to show the proper direction.I appreciated the care shown.

Everyone we have met or talked to on the phone at Baptist Jax have been pleasant and very helpful. Dr. Monteiro reviewed our MRI's with us explainiing the problem. He offered his medical opinion.

Everyone we met from the time we entered the office were exceptional. Very professional and organized. I saw Dr. Monteiro and his MA, Melissa; on Tuesday. I have new drop foot due to a spinal disc pressing on my spinal nerve. The doctor and his staff scheduled surgery for this Monday morning because I was on a blood thinner! I've been to preop. Alona reviewed my preop instructions. Preop lab, Ekg, cardiac clearances ordered. It's Friday and everything is all ready. Everything was so smooth. It's reassuring to know you have a team you can trust and have faith in!

Location. Baptist Downtown is mess and too far to walk to your practice. Directions weren't clear and I got turned around several times. I also can't really recommend the physician Paulo Montiero since I only saw him once and he didn't really do anything.

I just had a tumor removed from my spine. The care before, during, and after the procedure was excellent. Everyone from the surgeon down to the CNAs that cared for me were professional and personable. They ensured that I was comfortable and checked frequently to see that I was OK and if I needed anything.
