Dr. Makela is the epitome of what a doctor should be. From the first time I saw him and expressed my health concerns. He gave me all my options and suggested what he thought was best and said he would not suggest something that he wouldn’t suggest to one of his loved ones. He did all the testing he could do to make sure leading up to my surgery everything was good. Surgery day went smoothly no issues or complications. His professionalism and knowledge eased my fear going into surgery and I am happy to say things are going well with my recovery and hope that continues.

Dr. Makela is the kindess and best doctor I have experienced in all the doctors I have been to. He is caring and listens to everything you have to say. He explains everything so you understand. He is an excellent doctor. I would give him 10 stars.

Dr. Makela is amazing. I also had a hysterectomy with him last year and the whole experience was awesome. He made me feel extremely comfortable from the beginning. He explained in great detail and answered any questions I had. His bedside manner made me feel comfortable with the entire procedure. The nurses called it the “Makela Special” and I see why. He takes pride in his work and is very dedicated to helping women with these issues. I’ve healed amazingly. Intimacy after the surgery was great. If anyone is suffering and considering a hysterectomy, please consider Dr. Makela. You will not be disappointed.

polite, non intrusive, let me talk with Dr. Makela. There's a lot I don't understand & I didn't even ask all the questions I'd written down but that's on me. Doctor Makela did not rush, I was just emotional and confused.

Dr. Makela is wonderful. I will highly recommend him to anyone who requires an Uro-Gyn physician. He listens to his patients, responds with true compassion and is able to connect with where the patient is at the time. These types of medical providers are out there and should be recognized for the incredible difference they make in a patient's life. I hope he is teaching younger generations of physicians, as this is exactly the type of providers that patients need in today's sometimes very broken medical systems. Highest regards as a Top Doc!
