The procedure was a cortisone shot in my lower left back. The surgeon was experienced and excellent but it's not major sugery, nor was it my first cortisone shot.

Dr. Cooke and his team are the best. They know their stuff and avoid unnecessary scans when they know what the issue is. I really appreciate his trust in me as his patient as he knows I know how to heal myself without having to go to a PT for this specific injury.

Dr. Cooke has been extremely helpful, and explains things in a way that is understandable to a non-physician. And he truly listens -- I can't emphasis enough how crucial that is as a patient. I would recommend Dr. Cooke to anyone without hesitation.

HSS, for me, is like going to Disney - I always leave smiling because everyone is at the top of their game and I get the right treatment from experts - not the conventional or easy treatment

Dr. Cooke, who has by now performed about a half dozen procedures on me, is both a great doctor and perhaps the most compassionate and encouraging doctor I have ever seen, and I have had many good ones. He has not only performed procedures that have helped me reduce symptoms but also done much to educate me and help me understand my options and priorities in taking care of myself.

I've been seeing Dr. Cooke for a number of years now. He is without a doubt one of the best doctors I have ever seen. His concern is genuine and his knowledge and enthusiasm towards treatment is exceptional. I feel extremely grateful that I get him to treat me.

my main doctor that i interact with is not timely at all in communications or appointments. Often responds weeks late to messages on the mychart hss app. And is forgetful after a conversation to provide prescriptions.

I have never had such a great experience at a doctor's office before. Dr. Cooke was incredibly thorough, thoughtful, and kind. I have never felt like a doctor has been invested in finding the source of and curing my pain before my appointment with him-he spent two hours with me. I am very grateful.
