I had an appointment at 8am and saw the doctor around 8:02am. She was courteous, funny, explained everything clearly, and demonstrated a professional attitude. The doctor was attentive, prescribed medication to prevent headaches, and scheduled an MRI. Hopefully, the medication will alleviate my symptoms.

The doctor does not do any type of exam. She asked if I had any seizures in the past 6 months. Never came close to me to do an exam. This is my 2nd visit to her office in a year. She was the only provider available in the Network and since my neuro in Illinois retired, I went with her. He always did a thorough neurological exam. She does NOT do any kind of exam.

This was my first meeting with Dr Rugino, Wednesday, December 4, 2:15 appointment, and felt she spent the time to discuss my needs. However, her receptionist would receive a score of 2 at the most. Felt she had more important things to do then check me in, there were no other patients in the waiting room. Also in October as I was trying to make this appointment on 2 separate days, the receptionist could not answer the questions I had and both times left me hanging for information as she transferred me to someone who didn’t answer the call, very unprofessional.

Dr lacks empathy. No one wants to see a neurologist. It’s scary. Patients should be treated with kindness, not dismissively. I need help, though, so I will tolerate it until I find someone kinder.
