I was at Fox Chase from 8 am to 4:20. I had bloodwork, ct scan and an MRI. I also had an appointment with Dr. VJay. For 2:00. The bloodwork was completed by 11:00. I decided to wait at Fox Chase until my 2:00 appointment. I waited until 3:15 which was over an hour for my 2:00 appt. At 3:15 I was taken into an exam room and sat there for 20 minutes, the nurse practitioner came into the room and told me that Dr. VJay was not there.in addition, she said none of the tests were back yet because they were done the same day No one ever contacted me to let me know that the doctor was not there. In addition, I called weeks before because Dr. VJay usually saw me a week after I have all of the above tests. The appointment to see Dr. VJay was the same day as the tests. I questioned this and I was told, “I explained that the my appointment with Dr. was never on the same day as the MRI and CT scan. I was told,”That’s the way we do things here.” The was told by the Nurse Practitioner apologized and told me that Dr. V’Jay would do a telemedicine appointment the next day. I did not get a telemedicine appointment. Dr. VJay called at 4:00 and apologized for the previous day. She discussed a little because the results were not in. Accidents happen and things get cancelled. I get that. I just don’t know why anyone didn’t try to contact me. I wasted hours in the hospital. From 8:00 to 4:20. As a result I had to leave during rush hour and did not get home till 6:20. It was a very frustrating day!
