I have been with Dr. Michelle Gardner for several years, and will miss her greatly.

The first and only other time I met Dr. Gardner I got the wrong impression of her. I thought she was aloof and not very personable. Perhaps she was just having a bad day; yesterday she was much more communicative. I'm sorry to hear that she is leaving.

I'm sorry to say but I thought this doctor who is new to me (as my most recent doctor left)lacked empathy. She was very matter of fact; not much personality at all. I felt like she almost felt bothered to be there. Her nurse, Becky on the other hand was very pleasant and seemed caring. We'll see how it goes!

As for my comment with “ time spent” . I don’t lay that on the health care providers. I believe it’s systemic, on that they are allotted only so much time with each patient. The managed care - outline helps with cost to patients but takes away “ getting” to know your healthcare professionals and become more comfortable with knowledge and providing a more personal touch.
